THE QUESTION:

“If someone tells you that they believe in God, how can you know if they are telling the truth or not? (This question was asked during a Bible study on Wednesday, August 30, 2006.)

OUR ANSWER:

This is a question that need to be answered in several parts. 1) What do you mean when you say “believe in God? 2) Is there something that the person who asked you the question has said or done which makes you doubt what he said? 3) Why do you ask this question? 4) Only God can know what is in the heart of another person. 5) What are some of the ways in which we can know if a person believes in God or not?
